Air Liquide SA (AI.FR) said Thursday that it has finalized plans to launch a hydrogen-fuel joint venture with China's Chengdu Huaqi Houpu Holding Co. Ltd. (300471.SZ).

The two companies plan to develop a network of hydrogen refilling stations across China via the new venture, known as Air Liquide Houpu Hydrogen Equipment Co., Ltd.

Air Liquide said the partnership is aligned with the Chinese government's objectives to support environmentally friendly transport through the promotion of fuel-cell electric vehicles.
