Shareholders in Atlantia SpA (ATL.MI) have voted in favor of extending the deadline to decide on a capital increase to fund the Italian toll-road operator's bid for Abertis Infraestructuras SA (ABE.MC), the company said Wednesday.

Under the terms agreed at an extraordinary shareholders meeting, the deadline has now been extended to Nov. 30, from the original deadline of April 30.

Atlantia had previously said it will consider raising its current offer, which values Abertis at 16.3 billion euros ($20.14 billion), once a competing EUR18.6 billion bid from Hochtief AG (HOT.XE) receives approval from the Spanish market regulator.
