BP PLC said Monday that it has won the ScotWind bid to develop an offshore wind project together with EnBW Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg AG in Scotland, but didn't disclose financial details.

The London-listed oil-and-gas company said the lease option for the project will allow it to develop a total generating capacity of around 2.9 gigawatts.

The project, to be known as Morven, will be located 60 kilometers off the coast of Aberdeen, it added.

The company said investments are expected to represent up to 10 billion pounds ($13.68 billion), and will include the expansion of electric-vehicle charging infrastructure in Scotland and green-hydrogen production.

BP shares at 1023 GMT were up 3.65 pence, or 0.9%, at 392.35 pence.
