Reorganisation of
Crédit Agricole CIB's General Management
Meeting on Wednesday, 11 July
under the chairmanship of Philippe Brassac, the Board of Directors
of Crédit Agricole CIB, the Corporate and Investment Bank of Crédit
Agricole Group, accepted Jean-Yves Hocher's request to retire at
the end of the year.
During the Board meeting,
Philippe Brassac stated: "I would like to pay
tribute to the work done by Jean-Yves Hocher,
who successfully redesigned the profile of Crédit Agricole's CIB to
serve the Group's clients within the framework of a balance between
prudence and commercial development which is very important for
us."
Crédit Agricole CIB's Board of
Directors appointed Jacques Ripoll as his
successor. He will become Chief Executive Officer of Crédit
Agricole CIB and Deputy Managing Director of Crédit Agricole S.A.
in charge of the Large Clients division, formed by the Corporate
and Investment bank, Wealth Management (Indosuez Wealth Group) and
Services to institutional investors and corporates (CACEIS).
Jacques Ripoll will join Credit Agricole S.A.
on 3 September and will take up his new responsibilities when
Jean-Yves Hocher leaves by the end of the year.
Jacques
Ripoll spent a large part of his career at Société Générale,
before heading up Santander's CIB during the last few years. His
mission will be to follow the track defined by his predecessor
which is prudent development that serves the financing of the
economy.
The Board of Directors also
approved the appointment of two Deputy Managing Directors:
Jean-François Balaÿ, currently Head of Risks
and Permanent Control and Isabelle Girolami,
currently Head of Fixed Income.
A new distribution of the
supervision of business lines and support functions within General
Management is set up and effective as of today:

François Marion, Deputy
Chief Executive Officer and second executive director pursuant to
the French Monetary and Financial Code, will continue to supervise
the following support functions divisions: Finance, IT, Human
Ressources, Legal, Operations, Risk and Permanent Control, as well
as Strategy and Business Transformation;

Jean-François Balaÿ, Deputy
Managing Director, will supervise Structured Finance, Debt
Optimisation and Distribution, Distressed Assets, International
Trade & Transaction Banking;

Isabelle Girolami, Deputy
Managing Director, will supervise Fixed Income and Equity
Derivatives, and the coverage of Financial Institutions;

Régis Monfront, Deputy
Managing Director, keeps the supervision of Client Coverage,
International Network, the "Direction des Régions de France"
division as well as Investment Banking.
Alexandra Boleslawski replaces Jean-François Balaÿ as Head of Risk & Permanent
Control.
Jacques Ripoll entered Société Générale in 1991 within the
Inspection générale, and joined the Equity Derivatives department
in 1998. He became Head of European Equity Sales and Trading in
2003, then Head of Société Générale's group strategy between 2006
and 2009. At that date, he entered the Executive Committee,
supervising four of the group's businesses: Asset Management,
Private Banking, Investors Services and Newedge.
In 2013, Jacques Ripoll joined Banco Santander as Head of Global
Corporate Banking for the United Kingdom. In 2015, he was appointed
Senior Executive Vice President of Santander Group in charge of
Global Corporate Banking worldwide. Born in 1966, Jacques Ripoll
graduated from Ecole Polytechnique.
François
Marion has gained extensive corporate and investment banking
experience, having joined Banque Indosuez's Internal Audit
department in 1983, before moving to New York. In 1992, he was
appointed Chief Operating Officer in Asia, before moving on in 1997
to become head of financial control, budgeting and strategic
planning for the Crédit Agricole Indosuez group. In 1999, he joined
Crédit Agricole Indosuez's Executive Committee and became Head of
the Systems and Operations department. In 2004, he moved to Crédit
Agricole Investor Services as Chief Executive Officer. He has been
Chairman of CACEIS' Management Board since it was formed in 2005
and Chief Executive Officer since 2009. In 2016, François Marion
was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole CIB
in charge of supervising support functions.
Born in 1958, François Marion is a graduate of the HEC business
school in Paris.
Jean-François
Balaÿ started his career at Credit Lyonnais (now LCL) in 1989
where he occupied several managerial positions in the corporate
banking markets in London, Paris and Asia. From 2001 to 2006 he was
Head of Origination and Structuring for Europe within LCL and then
Crédit Agricole CIB Credit syndication activity. In 2006 he became
Deputy Head of the EMEA team and in 2009 Head of the Global Loan
Syndication Group. In 2012 he was appointed Head of Debt
Optimisation & Distribution. In 2016, he was appointed Head of
Risks and Permanent Control.
Born in 1965, Jean-François Balaÿ holds a DESS in Banking and
Finance and a Masters in economics from Lumière Lyon II
University.
Isabelle
Girolami has an extensive experience in Europe and Asia. She
started her career in banking at BNP Paribas in 1995 where she
became Chief Operating Officer for Global Fixed Income. She then
moved to Bear Stearns in 2000 as Chief of Staff for Europe and COO
for Fixed Income Europe and Asia.
She joined Standard Chartered in 2008 as Head of Global Markets
Europe and Co - Head wholesale banking Europe and, in 2011, was
appointed Head of Global Markets ASEAN (2011 to 2015). In 2015,
Isabelle Girolami was appointed Global Head of Fixed Income at
Crédit Agricole CIB.
Born in 1964, Isabelle Girolami graduated from HEC business school
in Paris with a major in international law and finance.
Régis
Monfront joined Banque Indosuez in 1981, where he first worked
in the Risk Management division in Paris, before becoming Head of
Major Corporates in Chicago, Director of Asset Financing in New
York and Head of Equity Risk in Paris. From 1997 to 2002, he
managed Indosuez WI Carr Securities Hong Kong. In 2002, he was
appointed Senior Country Officer for the UK at Crédit Agricole
Indosuez and then Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank.
Régis Monfront had been General Inspector of Crédit Agricole
Corporate and Investment Bank since 2010. In December 2011, Regis
Monfront was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer with the
direct coordination of Coverage, the International Network and the
"Direction des Régions de France" division, as well as Global
Investment Banking.
Born in 1957, Régis Monfront is a graduate of HEC business school
and has a law degree from the University of Sceaux.
Alexandra
Boleslawski started her career at Banque Indosuez in 1986 and
spent 20 years in structured finance (project finance in
particular). She was appointed Global Head of the electricity
sector in 2000. In 2010 she was appointed Deputy Head of the
Natural Resources, Infrastructure & Electricity sector and in
2013 Global Head of the Electricity, Utilities and Mining sectors.
She became Deputy Head of Coverage and the international network in
March 2015 and Head of Global Coverage Organisation in
2017.
Born in 1962, Alexandra Boleslawski graduated from HEC business
school in Paris.
