Casino to Sell Two Geant Hypermarkets

Casino Guichard-Perrachon SA (CO.FR) said Thursday that it
signed purchase agreements to sell two of its Geant hypermarkets to
Groupement Les Mousquetaires.
The French retailer said the total value for the real estate and
business assets is 23.4 million euros ($26.6 million).
Casino said the stores, located in the towns of Nevers and
Montauban, are the poorest performing in the network and generated
a turnover of around EUR36 million and reported a trading loss of
around EUR3.5 million last year.
The disposal is expected to be completed in the first half of
the year.
