Electricite de France SA said Friday that it has appointed Alain Tranzer executive director for industrial quality and skills.

Mr. Tranzer will join the French company in the coming months and will oversee the "excell" plan to strengthen industrial quality, skills and governance of nuclear projects, EDF said.

Mr. Tranzer will also sit in EDF's executive committee.
