--Utility company Electricite de France has laid out a plan to the French government for the construction of six new nuclear reactors over the next 15 years for a total estimated cost of at least EUR46 billion, Le Monde reports, citing a confidential document presented to the government in July.

--If the government accepts EDF's plan, it would mean that the company will spend between EUR7.5 billion and EUR7.8 billion per reactor, Le Monde says.
