Electricite de France SA (EDF.FR) said Thursday that its
subsidiary EDF Renewables has acquired a wind-projects pipeline
under development from Altus AG in Germany.
The French utility company didn't disclose financial details of
the transaction.
The projects, with a combined capacity of around 300 megawatts,
are located in 10 different federal states and at various stages of
the development process, EDF said. The wind farms will be
commissioned during the next five years, the company said.
"This deal is a good opportunity for EDF Renewables to
strengthen its project development positions in Germany, a country
which wants to reach 65% of renewable energy in its electricity
consumption by 2030," Frederic Belloy, executive vice president
international operations at EDF Renewables, said.
