--The chief executive of Italy's Eni S.p.A (E), Claudio Desalzi, said the company was planning a joint exploration campaign with France's Total SA (TOT) offshore Cyprus next year, Reuters reports Friday.

--Last week, Turkey said it had sent drilling ships to waters offshore Cyprus, in an area where Greek Cypriot authorities had granted exploration rights to companies from Italy and France, the report said.
