--The public prosecutor in Munich is investigating 17 Airbus employees and several members of the German armed forces on suspicion of industrial espionage, newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung reports.

--Aerospace company Airbus said earlier this week that it had informed German authorities of potential wrongdoings by several employees with respect to customer documents related to two future German procurement projects.

--The prosecutor couldn't be reached for comment, while the German defense ministry declined to comment. Airbus didn't add on further details.
