J&J to Use Less Volunteers in Covid-19 Vaccine Trial Due to Virus Prevalence in U.S. -Stat

-- Johnson & Johnson capped its Covid-19 vaccine trial
volunteer count at 40,000--20,000 fewer than planned--due to the
pervasiveness of the virus across the U.S., according to a report
by Stat.
-- The study, which started on Sept. 23, will reach its
milestone at the same rate with fewer participating volunteers as
cases continue to soar in the country.
