SAFRAN SA (SAF.FR) has appointed Olivier Andries as new chief executive starting January 2021, the company said late Monday.

The appointment will take effect after a transition period of one year starting next year, it said. During this time, Mr. Andries will work under the authority of current Chief Executive Philippe Petitcolin.

In the past 10 years, Mr. Andries has worked in defense and security at the group, as well as propulsion businesses.
