France's Total SA, Italy's Eni SpA and U.K.'s BP PLC have discovered gas at the North El Hammad concession located in the Mediterranean sea of Egypt, the French oil and gas company said Tuesday.

"It is estimated that future deliverability per well will be up to 100 million standard cubic feet per day, along with up to 800 barrels of condensate per day," Total said.

Total holds a 25% interest in the North El Hammad license, while the operator Eni and BP both hold 37.5%.
