Total Reports Valve Leak at Port Arthur, Texas, Refinery

Total Petrochemicals & Refining USA on Friday reported a
valve leak and emissions at its refinery in Corpus Christi,
Texas.
"A bellows failed on 17PSV-1410 at the Naphtha Unit 825," the
refinery said in a statement to the Texas Commission on
Environmental Quality. "Operations were able to quickly isolate the
PSV [pressure safety valve] and stop the leak."
It said the emissions of volatile organic compounds happened
Thursday, lasing one hour.
The 225,000-barrel-a-day Total Port Arthur refinery is 95 miles
east of Houston.
