Traton SE brands are restarting production after shutting down mid-March to protect workers from the coronavirus spread, the company said Wednesday.

Scania Vehicles & Services will test production in Sweden and the Netherlands over two days, with sites in France and Brazil ramping up a week later, the company said.

MAN Truck & Bus will restart production on April 27 and Volkswagen Caminhoes e Onibus will begin operation in Brazil on the same date.

The VWCO plant in Queretaro, Mexico, is scheduled to reopen on May 4, the company said.

Traton, a subsidiary of Volkswagen AG, will maintain a social-distancing policy and is modifying production processes and cycle times to create more space between staff, the company said.
