Eni SpA said Friday that it has bough the Tango FLNG floating
liquefied natural gas facility from Exmar for a natural-gas
development project in Congo.
The Italian oil-and-gas major said the liquefaction facility has
a treatment capacity of approximately 3 million standard cubic
meters a day and an LNG production capacity of about 1 billion
standard cubic meters a day.
Activities will begin in the second half of 2023, following
connection works that will tie it to the Marine XII project's
network and infrastructure.
LNG production from Marine XII is expected to begin next year
and provide volumes of more than 4.5 billion cubic meters a year
when fully operational, Eni said.
The financial details of the deal weren't disclosed.
