Dassault Systemes SE on Thursday said it appointed a new chief financial officer, saying it was changing its management structure to align governance and operational performance with strategy.

The French software maker appointed Rouven Bergmann to the CFO post. He reports to Pascal Daloz, who has relinquished the CFO title to focus on his role as chief operating officer.

Mr. Bergmann was important in the company's integration of Medidata after its acquisition, the company said. He was previously COO of life sciences for Dassault Systemes, overseeing Medidata's operations.

As part of the change, Mr. Daloz will fully focus on his mission as COO, the company said. Mr. Daloz leads the operations executive committee, which supports innovation in the life-sciences and healthcare, manufacturing industries, and infrastructure and cities sectors.
