L'Oreal SA said Thursday that sales for the third quarter rose, beating analysts' estimates, and confirmed that it expects sales and profit to grow this year.

The French cosmetics and consumer-products company posted sales of 9.58 billion euros ($9.36 billion) for the quarter, compared with EUR8 billion year prior. It said it saw growth in all divisions and all regions.

Analysts expected EUR9.05 billion for the three-month period, according to consensus estimates compiled by Factset.

"Despite the current uncertainties, we remain confident in the outlook for the global beauty market, which has again confirmed its resilience; confident in our power to innovate; and confident in our ability to outperform the market and achieve another year of growth in sales and profits in 2022," said the company's Chief Executive Nicolas Hieronimus.
