Jefferies International Ltd. said Thursday that it has now sold BP PLC's entire shareholding in Serica Energy PLC for 49.3 million pounds ($61.8 million), as flagged late Wednesday.

The U.S. bank said it has sold 13.5 million Serica shares at 365 pence each. The sale price is a 7.1% discount to Serica's closing share price of 393.0 pence on Wednesday.

Late Wednesday, Jefferies said it was selling the shares on behalf of BP Exploration Operating Company Ltd. via a bookbuild program.
