The U.K.'s Office of Communications said Wednesday that BT Group PLC's Openreach Ltd. has notified it with the new pricing arrangements for the fiber-to-the-premises offer it intends to put in place from April 1.

The regulator said it will now consider if the offer for the access, also known as FTTP, raises competition concerns requiring intervention, and that it will reach a provisional view.

Ofcom said it expects to publish a consultation by early February, adding that stakeholders will have 30 days to respond.

The regulator said Openreach must notify it of certain offers 90 days before coming into effect, allowing it and the wider industry to asses the offer since "where necessary we have the power to intervene to prevent such terms being introduced."

BT shares at 1026 GMT were up 3 pence, or 2.6%, at 116.90 pence.
