As at 31 May 2023 the issued capital of the Company comprised 5,907,846,138 ordinary shares of 6(14/81) pence ('Shares') including 266,404,166 Shares held in treasury leaving a balance of 5,641,441,972 Shares with voting rights of one vote per share.

The figure of 5,641,441,972 may be used by shareholders (and others with notification obligations) as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Rules.
