Purchase of own shares for cancellation

European Convergence Development Company PLC ("ECDC" or "the Company")announces that on Thursday 3 January 2013 it purchased for cancellation 100,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company through Panmure Gordon at a price, before expenses, of EUR 0.0325.

As a result of these purchases and cancellations, ECDC will have 89,455,470 Ordinary Shares of EUR 0.80 each in issue.
