Cancellation of share premium
account
Following the approval of
shareholders on 18 December 2024 and the granting of an order
following a final hearing in the Court of Session of Scotland (the
Court) approving the
cancellation of the share premium account (the Order), the Company is pleased to
confirm that the Order has been registered at Companies House
together with a statement of capital approved by the
Court.
Therefore all procedural steps
required in connection with the cancellation have now been
completed with £499.7 million
being credited to a distributable reserve of the
Company.
Jonathan Simpson-Dent, Chair of the
Company, said "Shareholders endorsed Edinburgh Worldwide at our
General Meeting and AGM last week. Today's increase in
distributable reserves completes another important milestone for
the Trust and the Board is now developing plans for a capital
return of up to £130m which will be announced in due
course."
