Issue of Shares and Total Voting Rights

Energy XXI announces today that it has issued 1,500 of its US $0.005 common stock ("Shares") by an issue of new shares as a result of the vesting of employee restricted stock units (RSUs).

The Company has made application for the 1,500 Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM, which is expected to become effective on or around 27 August 2014.

Following the Share issue, the Company has a total of 93,866,877 Shares in issue.
