                                Purchase of own shares 
 
 
        M&G plc (the "Company") announces today it has purchased the following 
   number of its ordinary shares of 5 pence each through Goldman Sachs International 
         on the London Stock Exchange in accordance with the authority granted 
        by shareholders at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 26 May 2021 
      (the "Purchase"). The Purchase was affected pursuant to instructions issued 
                by M&G on 23 March 2022, as announced on 24 March 2022. 
 Date of purchase:                                30 September 2022 
   Aggregate number of ordinary shares purchased:           4,392,452 
   Lowest price paid per share:                                1.6140 
   Highest price paid per share:                               1.6675 
   Average price paid per share:                               1.6531 
 
   The Company intends to cancel the purchased shares. 
 
 
   Following the above transaction, the Company holds no ordinary shares 
   in treasury and has 2,445,991,168 shares in issue.
