The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said it has closed an investigation into an old Tesla feature that allowed for video games to be played on the center console while the car was in motion.

The NHTSA opened its investigation into the feature, available in some 580,000 Tesla vehicles, in late 2021. Shortly after, Tesla disabled the feature.

The NHTSA said Tuesday that it closed the investigation, though the agency said it could still take further action if warranted. The agency said Tesla's response to requests for information during the probe "produced significant concerns about driver distraction" during the time that the feature was available.

Tesla didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

Shares of Tesla rose 2.8% to $198.65 in premarket trading.
