Pacific Gateway Partners with Bluedrop Learning
Networks for a Multi-million Dollar Initiative
Pacific Gateway Workforce Development Board (“Pacific Gateway”),
administered by the City of Long Beach, is launching a
ground-breaking service to bring efficiency and scale to the
workforce system. To allow more reach and to ensure customers
receive an intuitive experience, Pacific Gateway is partnering with
Bluedrop Learning Networks, a division of Bluedrop Performance
Learning, in a multi-million dollar initiative. Bluedrop Learning
Networks (“Bluedrop”) is a SaaS-based provider of Integrated Skills
Management (ISM) systems that helps the unemployed get jobs and
workers to advance.
This initiative streamlines complex workplace environments to an
online platform, providing case managers and workforce staff the
opportunity and time to work with people – rather than pile high
documents. The intelligent intake process combined with the
assessment feature gives a truly customized experience, allowing us
to treat each individual appropriately. From resume building to
just-in-time learning, this modernized system closes the skills gap
and serves a variety of stakeholders from job seekers, to incumbent
workers and employers.
“As a leader of innovation, Bluedrop is facilitating
just-in-time learning for this project. This allows Pacific Gateway
to focus on better workflow for their customers which in turn
sustains a better connection between employers and job seekers.”
states Nick Schultz, Pacific Gateway Executive Director.
“There are a few innovations that make this product possible,”
says Emad Rizkalla, Founder and CEO of Bluedrop Performance
Learning. "We are applying technology in a way that it can finally
do the heavy lifting for our clients, providing them the
flexibility to deliver more value and opportunities for their
customers. I am confident that the Pacific Gateway experience will
provide an important benchmark for the WIOA structured world.”
"Our aim is to give an extra degree of one on one support for
those who really need it,” continues Nick, “By implementing these
online processes, we are increasing efficiency and communication
for all stakeholders. By automating services, our self-serve
learning modules allow people to access services remotely which
reduces administrative processes in order to maximize case intake.
This system also gives direct use for industry specific employers
in high growth sectors who are seeking out potential
employees.”
Currently, Pacific Gateway is serving 10,000 job seekers
annually. With this initiative however, each process will become an
integral part for scaling and diversifying basic services. As
Pacific Gateway reaches a broader user base in the community, their
new goal is to reach and help 50,000 job seekers annually.
