Cyber Digital, Inc. (OTC BB: CYBD), a leading designer and software developer of advanced digital voice and broadband data switches, indicated today the value of its CTSX system could be $103 million. The CTSX system is ideally suited for the creation of new 'last mile' local voice and broadband data tandem switching networks as it offers both packet and circuit switching capabilities in one integrated system. CTSX system is primarily designed for use by competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs), who are forced to bypass the Bells' local switching networks pursuant to the recent FCC ruling. CTSX is a carrier-grade integrated voice and data tandem switching system delivering TDM Class 4/5, PRI, packet switching and VoIP. CTSX offers an easy migration from the traditional circuit switched network to the next generation packet switched network based on IP (Internet Protocol). In a report released by Investrend Research in April 25, 2002, it stated, "Santera's switch line is comparable to CYBD's Cyber Distributed Central Office (CDCO) distributed switching and networking system." The CTSX, Cyber Tandem Switch, is derived from the CDCO for tandem applications comparable to Santera switch. One October 3, 2005, Tekelec announced that it had completed its acquisition of the minority interest in Santera for $75.6 million cash. Prior to that, it had paid $28 million cash for a certain interest, bringing the acquisition amount to $103.6 million cash.
