Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
Gregory C. Hazelton will retire from Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc. (HEI or the Company) and step down as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on July 1, 2022 as part of a career transition to pursue another professional opportunity. Through July 1, Mr. Hazelton is committed to fully perform his duties as CFO, work closely with HEI’s leadership team and board to deliver on the Company’s plan and priorities, and facilitate a smooth transition. Mr. Hazelton’s departure is not due to any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to its operations, policies or practices.
