LONDON--Johnson Matthey PLC (JMAT.LN) on Thursday named Diageo PLC's (DGE.LN) Strategy Director Anna Manz as its group finance director, succeeding Den Jones.

The specialty chemicals company, which announced in March that Mr. Jones will step down as group finance director in the summer for personal reasons, said Thursday that he will resign from the board at the annual general meeting on July 20 and will leave the company on July 31.

Ms Manz, who is also a nonexecutive director of ITV PLC (ITV.LN) will join the Johnson Matthey's board on Oct. 17.

Confirming the news, Diageo said Ms Manz will leave at the end of September and her successor will be the subject of a future announcement.
