VoiceServe Inc. (OTC BB: VSRV), a low-cost, next-generation Internet Telephony software and service provider, announced today that long time telecom industry executive Michael Taylor has joined its Board of Directors.

Mr Taylor, a British Barrister since 1986, entered the telecom industry in 1990 serving in several senior positions at Mercury Communications, the United Kingdom’s first licensed operator to provide public communication services to compete against British Telecom. He was appointed as Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at ACC Long Distance Ltd., the first operator to be granted an International Resale License in the United Kingdom. He subsequently served as Deputy General Counsel for ICO Global Communications where he oversaw legal and regulatory issues in the United States, Latin and South America, Europe, the Middle East, South America, India, the Far East and Australia. Mr. Taylor also chaired the interconnect working group of the European Telecommunications Platform in Brussels, which was responsible for producing the Pan-European framework interconnect agreement used by operators and service providers throughout Europe.

Subsequently, Mr. Taylor served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel to FirstMark Communications, a Pan-European operator providing broadband wireless serves and backbone fibre connectivity, and consulted to clients in the telecom, media and technology sectors on matters of legal, tax, business development, regulatory and strategic services through the ONSLOW Group. In 2005, Mr. Taylor was elected to the UK Internet Telephony Service Providers Association as a council member, and in 2009 he was appointed to the Board of Directors of OpenPlanet Limited, a company focused on developing open access networks utilizing next generation access broadband fibre technology. Mr. Taylor is also the founding director of The Oplan Foundation, an independent, non-political and non-profit organization dedicated to building awareness and understanding of the social and economic benefits of open networks to communities.
