The Japanese yen strengthened against other major currencies? in the Asian session on Tuesday.

The yen rose to 1-week highs of 130.02 against the euro and 141.19 against the pound, from yesterday's closing quotes of 130.42 and 141.80, respectively.

Against the U.S. and the Australian dollars, the yen advanced to 1-week highs of 109.21 and 86.88, from yesterday's closing quotes of 109.69 and 87.12, respectively.

The yen climbed to a 4-day high of 88.06 against the Canadian dollar, from yesterday's closing value of 88.34.

Against the Swiss franc and the NZ dollar, the yen edged up to 114.14 and 78.28 from yesterday's closing quotes of 114.39 and 78.56, respectively.

If the yen extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 128.00 against the euro, 139.00 against the pound, 108.00 against the greenback, 85.00 against the aussie, 86.00 against the loonie, 112.00 against the franc and 77.00 against the kiwi.
