1533 GMT - ArcelorMittal is among the most mentioned companies across news items over the past 12 hours, according to Factiva data, after a deadly explosion at one of its mines in Kazakhstan lead it to confirm it has signed a principle agreement to nationalize its operations in the country. The disclosure of the negotiations by ArcelorMittal on Saturday followed an explosion at ArcelorMittal Temirtau's Kostenko coal mine. An ArcelorMittal spokesman told Dow Jones the incident had claimed 45 lives as of 0953 GMT, with one miner still unaccounted for. ArcelorMittal Temirtau said in a statement that it had been in talks with the government for months and had only just signed the agreement days before the accident. Termitau operates the company's integrated steel plant, coal mines and iron ore mines in the country and also includes ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Aktau. Dow Jones & Co. owns Factiva.
