Kaixin Auto Holdings Announces Establishing AI Automobile Research Institute to Formulate AI Development Strategy

Kaixin Auto Holdings (“Kaixin” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: KXIN), a
leading new energy vehicle manufacturer and one of the premium
imported cars and used cars platform in China, today announced that
it has established its AI Automotive Research Institute, with
senior VP Mr. Lei Gu appointed as the dean, to facilitate the
formation and integration of the company’s development strategy for
artificial intelligence applications. Kaixin is also actively
seeking to partner with leading AI companies to jointly create
intelligent, safe and efficient automobile travel products and
services.
Mr. Lei Gu has served as senior expert with Ford Motor Company,
dean of Chery Automobile Research Institute, chief engineer of BAIC
Motor, and dean of Beijing Automotive Research Institute. He is a
seasoned expert in automobile research and development and has
profound professional knowledge and work experience in the
area.
