BorgWarner's Cindy Niekamp Named Among 100 Leading Women in the Auto Industry by Automotive News

Niekamp, President and General Manager, BorgWarner TorqTransfer
Systems, has been named among 100 Leading Women in the North
American Auto Industry by Automotive News. Ms. Niekamp and her
co-honorees were featured in Monday's issue of the publication and
will be honored tonight at an Automotive News-sponsored gala dinner
in Detroit. Ms. Niekamp, 46, joined BorgWarner in July 2004 from
MeadWestvaco Corporation, where she was senior vice president and
chief financial officer. She served in a variety of senior roles
for that company and predecessor Mead Corporation from 1995 - 2002,
including four years as president and general manager of Mead
Specialty Paper Division. She started her career at General Motors
in operations and engineering before moving to TRW to assume
operational and business development responsibilities. She holds a
bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University
and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard
