demanding and competitive automotive market, better efficiency is a
top priority for today's consumers. BorgWarner's NexTrac(R) system
delivers uncompromised stability, traction, and agility with the
added benefits of reduced parasitic losses and better fuel
economy," said Dan CasaSanta, President and General Manager,
BorgWarner TorqTransfer Systems. "We're proud that NexTrac(R) has
been recognized by Vehicle Dynamics International and pleased to be
among the award finalists." Born from BorgWarner's experience
producing over 3,500,000 AWD clutches since 1998, the patented
NexTrac(R) system is a next generation, high- performance,
electronically controlled, all-wheel drive system created to meet
the growing front-wheel-drive-based crossover, sport-utility and
passenger vehicle markets. The NexTrac(R) system evolved from
BorgWarner's experience with the ITM 3e(R) coupling on the Porsche
911 Turbo and other electro- magnetic couplings developed over the
years. A new and truly "green" product designed with organic and
recyclable materials, the system features a compact design,
improved performance and lower weight to achieve the enhanced
stability, traction, fuel efficiency and fun driving experience
drivers crave. The NexTrac(R) system debuted on the 2009 Hyundai
Santa Fe, Tucson and KIA Sportage. BorgWarner TorqTransfer Systems
is a leading independent global designer and producer of transfer
cases and torque management devices for all-wheel drive passenger
cars, crossover vehicles, sport-utility vehicles and light trucks.
These systems enhance vehicle stability, security, and drivability.
