winners including the World Car of the Year, the VW Golf VI; World
Performance Car, the Nissan GT-R; and World Design Car of the Year,

first longitudinal transaxle dual-clutch transmission. The Fiat 500
features BorgWarner turbochargers for the 1.3-liter diesel, timing
drive systems for the 0.9-liter gasoline engine, and high pressure
solenoids for the optional "Dualogic" automated manual transmission
(AMT). The sixth annual World Car awards recognize and reward
automotive excellence on a global scale. Eligible cars must be in
production and sold on at least two continents during 2008. Winners
