BorgWarner Names John McGill to New Supply Chain, Emerging Markets
Position CHICAGO, July 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BorgWarner Inc.
(NYSE:BWA) today announced the appointment of John J. McGill to the
newly created position of Vice President, Global Supply Chain and
Champion of Emerging Market Utilization. "This appointment is a
milestone in our strategic growth plan," said Timothy M.
Manganello, Chairman and CEO. "The creation of this new position
will drive operating synergies throughout our global supply chain
and will coordinate the development of emerging markets such as
China. Both areas were identified by our worldwide leadership team
as key needs for future growth. John's strengths and experience
will allow us to focus on these critical issues." John McGill, 49,
had been president and general manager of BorgWarner TorqTransfer
Systems, Drivetrain Group since December of 2002. Previously, he
was president and general manager of BorgWarner Cooling Systems
from October 1999 to December 2002. Prior to joining BorgWarner, he
was general manager of Eaton's Fluid Power and Torque Control
Products divisions. His 18-year career with Eaton included numerous
human resource, production, purchasing and manufacturing positions.
He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the
University of Nebraska. He serves on the Board of Directors of
BorgWarner - Shenglong, one of the company's joint ventures in
