UPS Worldwide Express Package Service Expands to 23 New Countries and Territories
10 Mars 2016 - 1:46AM
UPS® (NYSE:UPS) has expanded its UPS Worldwide Express® package
service to 23 additional countries and territories, creating an
earlier guaranteed-delivery option for customers in locations that
previously had only end-of-day guarantees.
UPS Worldwide Express® service offers guaranteed delivery on the
next possible business day by 10:30 a.m., noon or 2 p.m. depending
on the destination. This move follows last year’s expansion of the
service.
UPS already delivers more packages internationally than any
other carrier. This expansion of UPS Worldwide Express® service
will give customers – especially those with time-sensitive
shipments – the guaranteed time-of-day deliveries they need to
thrive as international trade continues to grow.
“The latest expansion covers growing markets like Colombia,
Saudi Arabia and Vietnam, which are increasingly important to
global trade,” said Nick Basford, vice president of international
marketing at UPS.
“Colombia has become a key market for U.S. exporters due to the
Free Trade Agreement between the two countries,” Basford said.
“Saudi Arabia is a large economy with a growing middle class. And
Vietnam is emerging as a manufacturing powerhouse in the Asia
Pacific region. UPS Worldwide Express service now gives customers
more options to reach these and other key global markets.”
The service, now available to 88 countries and territories, is
part of the broader UPS Express® portfolio, which
offers three guaranteed time-of-day delivery options that include
customs clearance. The UPS Express portfolio features:
- Express Plus for early-morning delivery to 27 countries
- Express for midday delivery to 88 countries and
territories
- Express Saver for end-of-day delivery to 220 countries and
territories
Individuals and companies of all sizes can use the UPS Worldwide
Express® service, but it is particularly beneficial to those with
urgent international shipments, such as companies in the fast-paced
high-tech, retail and industrial manufacturing industries. Along
with other UPS offerings, these services support the rise of global
e-commerce.
World Trade Organization economists predict trade growth of
nearly 4 percent this year. UPS Worldwide Express® service helps
facilitate this growth in international trade by giving customers
more options for urgent deliveries. With this latest expansion, the
coverage area for UPS Worldwide Express service totals 88
countries, which comprise 94% of the global gross domestic
product.
