GBPJPY Pound Sterling vs Japanese Yen

At 4:30 am ET Thursday, the Office for National Statistics published U.K. retail sales data for April.

After the data, the pound rose against its major rivals.

As of 4:31 am ET, the pound was trading at 0.8561 against the euro, 1.2748 against the Swiss franc, 1.3015 against the U.S. dollar and 144.33 against the yen.
