Standard & Poor's Announces Changes to S&P SmallCap 600 Index NEW YORK, July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Standard & Poor's will make the following changes to the S&P SmallCap 600 Index after the close of trading Thursday, July 15, 2004: * S&P SmallCap 600 components Belden Inc. (NYSE:BWC) and Cable Design Technologies (NYSE:CDT) are merging in a transaction anticipated to close on or about that date, pending shareholder approval. The merged company, Belden CDT Inc.
