Outdoor advertiser JCDecaux S.A. (DEC.FR) is weighing a purchase of the European advertising assets of Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings Inc. (CCO), Reuters reported Monday on its website, citing people familiar with the matter.

An offer by the French company for its U.S. rival's European assets could be for about $2.5 billion, the people told Reuters.

Advising Clear Channel on the potential sale are Moelis & Co. (MC) and Citigroup Inc. (C), the people said.
