Pound Rises Against Majors

The British pound strengthened against other major currencies in
the European session on Friday.
The pound rose to more than a 5-week high of 1.3217 against the
U.S. dollar, from an early low of 1.3094.
The pound advanced to 0.9127 against the euro, from an early low
of 0.9203.
Against the Swiss franc and the yen, the pound edged up to
1.2504 and 141.98 from an early 4-day low of 1.2387 and a 3-day low
of 141.35, respectively.
If the pound extends its uptrend, it is likely to find
resistance around 1.33 against the greenback, 0.90 against the
euro, 1.26 against the franc and 144.00 against the yen.
