1252 GMT - Unilever is among the most mentioned companies across news items over the past six hours, according to Factiva data, after the company sold Elida Beauty business to Yellow Wood Partners for an undisclosed sum. The Ben & Jerry's ice cream and Dove soap owner said that the sale was part of its plan to optimize its personal care portfolio and grow its power brands. It followed a binding offer from Yellow Wood to buy the business. While no price was put on the sale, Reuters reported last week that Elida--which owns 20 beauty and personal care brands including Q-Tips, Caress and Timotei--could fetch around $1 billion. Unilever shares are down 0.2% at 3,748.50 pence and are 10% lower over the year to date. Dow Jones & Co. owns Factiva. (ian.walker@wsj.com.)
