AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Sept. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BorgWarner
Thermal Systems has announced a new series of fans, the "X" Series,
which offer better efficiency and enhanced performance for
commercial vehicle and off-highway applications. "By every measure
of performance, we've raised the bar again with the introduction of
the X Series fan," stated Carl Roberts, Director, Engineering at
Thermal Systems. "Our customers will receive increased cooling
performance with the same light-weight construction and package
size." The nine- and eleven-blade polymer fans can increase cooling
capacity by as much as 4 degrees Fahrenheit at a 7% higher
efficiency than current products. The fans, termed XMD9 and XD11,
have a hubless design with blade aerodynamics designed for
heavy-duty cooling systems. The fans have been optimized for
performance and packaging compatibility with the BorgWarner family
of heavy-duty fan drives, and meet the cooling performance required
for U.S. 2007 and Euro 5 engines. BorgWarner Thermal Systems, part
