Dow Jones News
United Parcel Service Inc. Chief Executive David P. Abney's
total compensation for 2015 rose 35%, driven by big increases in
base pay and stock awards.
Over all, Mr. Abney's compensation for the 12-month period ended
Dec. 31 rose to $11.3 million from $8.4 million, with his base pay
increasing 51% to $1 million.
Meanwhile, Chief Financial Officer Richard N. Peretz, who
assumed his post on July 1, received $1.5 million in total
compensation, including a base salary of $382,431.
Kurt P. Kuehn, who retired as CFO effective July 1, received
$4.8 million in total compensation including $381,327 in base pay
and a $1 million cash bonus that was paid in September, when he
left UPS.
The delivery giant, which had struggled in the past two holiday
seasons, last month reported that profit nearly tripled in the
fourth quarter, and it projected strong results for 2016 on
sustained e-commerce demand.
