and 10-Q Reports; No Change to Previously Reported Amounts in the
Statement of Operations, Balance Sheet or Statement of Cash Flows

Resource Partners Limited Partnership (NYSE:PLP) announced today
that it filed amendments to its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the
fiscal year ended December 31, 2003 and its Quarterly Reports on
Form 10-Q for the quarters ended March 31, 2004 and June 30, 2004
to address comments from the staff of the Securities and Exchange
Commission in connection with the staff's review of the
registration statement on Form S-4 of IMC Global Inc., related to
the pending merger of PLP into a subsidiary of IMC Global, and the
documents incorporated by reference in the registration statement,
including PLP's 2003 10-K, March 2004 10-Q and the June 2004 10-Q.
The amendments enhance and clarify certain disclosures in PLP's
2003 10-K, March 2004 10-Q and June 2004 10-Q. The amendments did
not change any reported amounts in the PLP Statement of Operations,
Balance Sheet or Statement of Cash Flows. Similar amendments
enhancing and clarifying certain disclosures and reclassifying
certain information were also filed by IMC Phosphates Company to
