Following the recent placing of shares the Board of Ambient plc (the 'Company')
has received notification pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 (as
amended) (the "Act") that HBOS plc and its subsidiary undertakings (who
previously held 3.09 per cent of the Company's issued share capital) no longer
have a material interest (for the purposes of Sections 208 and 209 of the Act)
in the Ordinary Shares of 1p each in the Company.
