BUFFALO, N.Y., Jan. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Highlights -- E
& E has been awarded a five-year $5 million basic ordering
agreement contract with Naval Facilities Engineering Command
Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia for performing Air Installations
Compatible Use Zone (AICUZ) and Range Air Installation
Compatibility Use Zone (RAICUZ) studies at Navy and Marine Corps
facilities throughout the continental United States and Caribbean.
The AICUZ plans will include a detailed analysis of aircraft noise,
accident potential, land use compatibility, operations
alternatives, and potential solutions to both existing and
potential incompatible land use problems. RAICUZ plans will
quantify range safety zones, aircraft noise zones, develop
strategies for lands affected by potential weapon impacts or noise
impacts, and develop a strategy to promote compatible development
on land within these areas. The first assignment under the contract
is for the preparation of an AICUZ study at Navy Outlying Field
Webster, located in Maryland. Ecology and Environment, Inc. is
