BUFFALO, N.Y., March 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ecology and Environment, Inc. (AMEX:EEI) recently received a $2.5-million extension on its contract with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to support the Dry Cleaner Remediation Program. This raises the total contract value to $5 million on this state contract to address contamination originating from dry cleaning operations. The contract is funded by a registration fee on dry cleaner operations and a fee on each gallon of chlorinated solvents sold to dry cleaners. E & E's work consists of site investigations and subsurface evaluations to determine the nature and extent of chlorinated solvent contamination. The contract extends through August, 2008.
